First time in Pune, Oikyotan Bangiya Parishad is hosting e-Durgotsav 2020

Oikyotan Bangiya Parishad (Bengali Association in Pune), formed in 2012 by residents of Pimple Saudagar, Wakad and adjacent areas to organize events to promote Art, Culture, Literature, Traditions, Values and Heritage of Bengal among people of all provinces of India in an all-inclusive manner and reach has organised E -Durgotsav. Biswajit Saha, From Oikyaton Bangiya Parishad said, ” We also organize events for social causes, disaster-outreach drives, mass festivals and various cultural and social events. Oikyotan Bangiya Parishad has been applauded as one of the best Puja in Pune by prominent print and electronic media houses for the last several years.”

This is the ninth year of Durga Puja being celebrated by Oikyotan Bangiya Parishad in Pune. Every year for the last eight years, Durga Puja has been celebrated with much aplomb and funfair by Oikyotan Bangiya Parishad in an all-inclusive grand event.

This year too there was an anticipation to celebrate Durga Pujo in a grand scale but due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the puja has been scaled down in consciousness of the pandemic protocols. However, Oikyotan Bangiya Parishad has geared up for e-Durgotsav.

During the entire period of this year’s Durga Puja starting from 21 October 2020 (Maha Panchami) to 26 October 2020 (Bijoya Dashami), every day of this six days, all puja rituals every hour will be live streamed on the YouTube channel and the Facebook page of Oikyotan Bangiya Parishad. Additionally, time to time posts and updates will be given in the Instagram profile and Facebook page.

Not only the Durga Puja rituals, but also an enviable lineup of cultural programs is going to be streamed in all media handles of OBP including the YT channel. The schedule of these cultural programs will be published in the social media handles/pages of Oikyotan Bangiya Parishad.

The intent to celebrate this year’s puja through electronic media is to connect people all over Pune as well as India and around the globe and make them a part of the celebrations yet keep everyone safe in their own homes.

This is in cognizance with Oikyotan Bangiya Parishad’s motto of “Together we stand, together we celebrate”
