Five held for looting wine shop in Uttam Nagar

Pune: The Pune Police have arrested five people responsible for a robbery at RR Wines shop in Shivane, Uttam Nagar on November 21.
As per information on November 19, 6 accused with local-made pistols, sickles, and swords, robbed the RR wines Shop in Shivane, Uttam Nagar. The accused took Rs 3,09,000 in cash and stole alcohol bottles worth Rs 3,200.
The robbery was captured on the shop’s CCTV. The RR Wine shop worker filed a complaint in Uttam Nagar police station.
The Uttam Nagar police immediately registered a case and formed 2 separate investigation teams and sent the teams in search of the accused.
On November 21, the joint investigation teams of Uttam Nagar Police Station detained the five accused from Dhayari, Manikbaug, Sinhagad Road area. As some detained persons turned out to be minors, they were produced before the Juvenile Court in Yerwada.
The above arrest is done by Police Inspector of Uttam Nagar Police Station Kiran Balwadkar, Police Officer Dadaraje Pawar, Police Officer Umesh Rokade, Police Officer Sameer Pawar, Tushar Kindre, Dnyaneshwar Todkar, Dattatray Malusare and Pramod Kumadkar.
