Deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar in Pune informed the Pune district administration that five post Covid19 care out patient department (OPD) centers should be soon formed in Pune.

In the last few days the number of patients recovering from Covid19 are higher than the active patients. This has led to increase in the number of patients who might be in need of emotional stability after recovering from the illness. Hence the decision was taken to start five post Covid19 care OPD at five places in Pune. Two Jumbo covid facility in Pune, Baner Covid facility, Sassoon hospital and Naidu hospital.

The decision was announced in the Friday review meeting held by Ajit Pawar alongwith with MLA, MLC, Commissioners of PMC Vikram Kumar and Shravan Hardikar of PCMC, Pune Police Amitabh Gupta and Pimpri Chinchwad Police Krishna Prakash, Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao, Pune Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh, CEO, Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol AND several other officials.

Pawar also informed that such post covid care facilities should also be set up in rural areas. Also there should be fair treatment for all in Pune city and rural hospitals.

Rao shared the details of the facilities, number of patients and the treatments that are being followed for the patients.

Murlidhar Mohol in the meeting raised the issue of increasing Rapid antigen tests as well as other tests needed to bring the people for immediate care and medical assistance could be given to them in the preliminary stage only.

Ajit Pawar stressed that My Family My Responsibility initiative should be implemented strictly and medical care should be provided to people immediately.
