Pimpri-Chinchwad: Five students from A.S.S.P.M International School and Junior College in Thergaon were unable to appear for their 12th-grade Maharashtra State Board examination due to not receiving their hall tickets. The incident has sparked outrage among parents, who have now filed a police complaint against the college administration.

The students, all from the Arts stream, were reportedly informed on the morning of the exam that their hall tickets had not been issued due to incomplete documentation. Shocked by the last-minute notice, the students and their parents alleged that they had paid approximately ₹30,000 each in fees and had been assured throughout the year that their academic progress was secure.

Parents claim that despite irregular classes, the college administration repeatedly assured them that their children would pass. Even when other institutions began distributing hall tickets, ASSPM College urged students to remain patient, promising that their documents were being processed.

However, on the day of the examination, the students arrived at the college at 6 AM only to be denied entry due to the missing hall tickets. Frustrated parents immediately lodged a complaint at Kalewadi Police Station against the school’s head, Sanjay Lokhande.

Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Bahirat confirmed that an investigation has been initiated. “We need to verify the legitimacy of ASSPM College, examine the documents, and determine why the hall tickets were not issued. Appropriate action will be taken based on our findings,” he stated.

One of the affected students expressed their disappointment, saying, “Classes were not conducted properly throughout the year. The college kept assuring us we would pass. They even threatened to withhold our hall tickets unless we paid the full fees. Now, they suddenly claim our documents were incomplete. We have lost an entire academic year.”

Authorities are expected to conduct further inquiries into the matter to determine accountability and possible corrective actions.
