Video shows passengers standing, chatting, and eating mid-air despite repeated requests from cabin crew to remain seated

A Thailand-bound flight turned into an unexpected spectacle when passengers began standing, chatting in groups, and even eating mid-air, reminiscent of a bustling train or bus journey in India. Instagram user Ankit captured the scene in a video, sharing his thoughts and calling out the behavior of fellow passengers.

In his video, Ankit expressed disbelief at the situation, saying, “Indians like to get insulted everywhere. People are standing in the flight—not during landing or takeoff, but mid-air. They’ve turned it into a train.” The video is part of Ankit’s Thailand series and has gained significant attention, with nearly 1.6 million views, 27,000 likes, and 1,700 comments.

According to Ankit, the cabin crew repeatedly requested passengers to return to their seats, but many continued to stand, chat, and even eat while standing. This behavior sparked a wave of online reactions, with some criticizing the passengers for their lack of etiquette.

One commenter wrote, “Money doesn’t get you class!” Another sarcastically added, “They aren’t fit for trains either; they’d probably steal sheets there too.”

Others offered a more balanced perspective, noting that walking during long-haul flights is often encouraged to improve circulation, but standing and eating in the seating area crosses a line of acceptable behavior.

The video has reignited debates around civic sense, with some users emphasizing the need for Indians to improve their behavior in public spaces, especially while traveling internationally. While the incident has amused many, it also serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining decorum in shared spaces.
