Flights Connecting Mumbai, Bengaluru to Solapur to Begin October 15, Bookings Open September 20

Solapur, September 19, 2025: The long-awaited air connectivity between Solapur, Mumbai, and Bengaluru is finally set to take off from October 15, 2025. Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation Murlidhar Mohol announced on Friday that Star Air will operate direct flights on these routes. Bookings will open from September 20.

The new flight services will run four days a week—Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will inaugurate the Mumbai–Solapur flight from Mumbai on October 15.

• Solapur–Mumbai: 12:55 pm
• Mumbai–Solapur: 2:45 pm
• Bengaluru–Solapur: 11:10 am
• Solapur–Bengaluru: 4:15 pm

The Solapur Airport, renovated at a cost of ₹60 crore and inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September 2024, currently has only one operational route—Solapur–Goa by Fly91. The new Mumbai and Bengaluru connections are expected to significantly boost tourism, business travel, investment, and employment opportunities in the region.

Sharing the update on X, Mohol said, “This air service will provide Solapur residents with direct and swift connectivity to Mumbai, the economic capital of Maharashtra, and Bengaluru, the industrial hub of South India. It will not only save travel time but also create new opportunities for businessmen, students, and devotees.”

The launch marks the fulfillment of a long-pending demand by Solapur residents, making the city better connected with two of India’s most important metros.
