Foul smell emitting from drainage chambers makes residents uneasy
There are several drainage chambers on the Nivedita Garden to Ashwini Classic society road stretch near Anandpur Charitable trust which are covered but still leave a foul smell. The stink is so toxic that the residents living in the area are tired of inhaling foul smell throughout the day.
When Pune Pulse reached out to the residents of the society we were informed that the stench is so foul that the residents cannot keep the windows or terrace doors open. Several times in the past this issue was raised by no permanent action is being taken.
When Pune Pulse raised this issue with Local Corporator Prabhag 26 Nanda Lonkar she informed that the work for laying new drainage line is huge. Also resolving only the problem of that particular lane would not solve the problem.
“I will have to resolve the drainage line issue from Natasha Enclave to Nivedita Garden.,” she said.
