Four Thefts In Pune In 48 Hours; Valuables Worth ₹8 Lakh Stolen
Pune recorded four thefts within 48 hours, with burglars stealing gold, cash, and camera equipment worth ₹8 lakh from different areas on February 19. The thefts were reported at Baner, Vishrantwadi, Kondhwa, and Kadepadal police stations.
In Baner, thieves broke into a locked flat on Sus Road and escaped with gold ornaments worth ₹88,000. Another incident in Vishrantwadi saw burglars entering a house on Alandi Road and stealing gold, silver, and cash worth ₹3 lakh.
A medical shop in Kondhwa was also targeted, where thieves broke open the shutter and took ₹25,000 in cash. The fourth theft took place at a studio, where motorcycle-borne criminals fled with camera equipment worth ₹4 lakh.
Police have registered cases and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify and arrest the culprits.
Authorities have urged residents and shop owners to take extra precautions, including installing security cameras and ensuring proper locks, to prevent such incidents.
