Free Library Opens At Pune Airport's New Terminal To Enrich Travel Experience
Pune, August 3, 2025: The Airport Authority of India (AAI) in Pune has launched a free library at the newly constructed terminal of Pune International Airport. This facility is designed to provide travellers with a peaceful and enriching environment to read while waiting for their flights.
Situated in the terminal’s waiting area, the library currently offers over 100 books spanning various genres such as fiction, non-fiction, travel, biographies, and regional literature. The initiative reflects AAI’s broader mission to enhance passenger facilities and improve the overall airport experience.
This is the first time such a facility has been introduced at Pune airport. The aim is to offer a meaningful way for passengers to spend their time during delays or layovers. Depending on the response from travellers, there are plans to expand the collection.
The library is open to all passengers, without the need for any registration or charges. Flyers are free to pick up any book and read during their stay at the terminal.
The move has already received positive feedback from regular travellers, who appreciate the effort to provide a screen-free, relaxing option during travel.
This initiative marks another step towards creating a more welcoming and thoughtful travel experience at Pune airport, setting an example that other airports may follow.
