From Panipuri Stall To ISRO: Ramdas Marbade's Inspiring Journey From Gondia
Gondia, May 30 – Defying all odds, Ramdas Marbade, a young man from Khairbodi village in Tirora taluka of Gondia district, has achieved what many only dream of — selection as a technician at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). What makes his success truly remarkable is that he managed to balance his studies while running a panipuri stall to support his family.
Marbade’s story is a shining example that circumstances need not define your destiny. Despite financial constraints and limited resources, he remained focused on his goal, pursuing education with dedication. His persistence and hard work have now earned him a prestigious position at India’s premier space research agency, bringing pride to his village and inspiring countless others.
Along with his selection at ISRO, Ramdas was also chosen for a post in the Solapur Municipal Corporation — a testament to his consistent efforts and determination. His father, Hemraj Marbade, is a retired Class IV employee from the education department and now engages in farming and cattle-rearing. Ramdas’s mother is a homemaker, and he is one of five siblings.
An ITI diploma holder in Pump Operator Mechanics, Ramdas also completed his BA through Yashwantrao Chavan Open University. He began preparing for competitive exams in 2019, even after getting married and taking on family responsibilities. Through strategic planning, daily routine management, and sheer discipline — often eating just one meal a day to make time for study — Ramdas ensured that neither his studies nor his family was neglected.
Today, his success is being celebrated far and wide, with many hailing him as a role model for youth who aspire to overcome adversity and reach great heights.
