FYJC Admissions 2025 In Pune: Online Admission Process Begins For 1,526 Junior Colleges, More Colleges Expected To Join

The First-Year Junior College (FYJC) online admission process for 2025–26 has gained momentum in the Pune division, with 1,526 junior colleges successfully completing their registration. Education officials have indicated that five to six more colleges may soon be added to the list.
According to the Pune Education Department, students will not face any difficulty during admissions, as there are ample seats available. To support students and parents, a helpline number (8530955564) and email ([email protected]) have been made available for guidance during the admission process.
The centralised FYJC online admission system, which was previously limited to just five major cities, will now cover all junior colleges across Maharashtra for the academic year 2025–26.
As of now, college registration is underway. Out of 1,533 colleges in the Pune division (covering Pune, Ahilyanagar, and Solapur districts), 1,526 have completed registration, confirmed Dr. Jyoti Parihar, Deputy Director of Education, Pune Division to Maharashtra Times. Of these, 1,117 colleges have been verified and finalised for the admission process.
District-Wise College Registration:
- Ahilyanagar: 453 colleges
- Solapur: 377 colleges
- Pune: 685 colleges
- Total: 1,526 colleges
Due to increasing demand and leftover seats in previous years, the number of participating colleges is likely to grow. Details of stream-wise seat availability will be announced soon.
Students can now register for admissions through the official website: https://mahafyjcadmissions.in. Starting May 19, all admission-related facilities and support will be available to students on the portal.
