Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Ganesh Utsav or Vinayaka Chaturthi, is an important Hindu festival celebrated across India. The most auspicious time for Ganesh Sthapana (placing the idol) is during the Madhyahna, or midday period, on 27 August. This is when devotees are advised to start the celebrations and welcome Lord Ganesha home.
