Pune, August 22, 2025: In a major announcement ahead of Ganeshotsav 2025, the Indian Railways has declared that a total of 380 Ganpati Special Trains will be operated across various routes to manage festive rush and ensure a smooth travel experience for devotees.
Central Railway to Lead with 296 Special Trains

According to reports, Central Railway will run the highest number of services, with 296 Ganpati special trains connecting Maharashtra and Konkan region. In addition, Western Railway will operate 56 trains, Konkan Railway will add 6 trains, and South Western Railway will introduce 22 special services for the festive season.
Key Routes and Halts for Ganpati Special Trains
The Ganpati Special Trains 2025 will halt at important stations such as:
- Maharashtra & Konkan Region:Â Kolad, Indapur, Mangaon, Goregaon Road, Veer, Khopi, Karanjadi, Vinhere, Diwan Khavati, Khed, Anjani, Chiplun, Kamthe, Savarda, Aravali Road, Adavali, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavli, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Zarap, Sawantwadi Road.
- Goa & Karnataka Region:Â Madure, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon Junction, Karwar, Gokarna Road, Kumta, Murdeshwar, Mookambika Road, Kundapura, Udupi, Mulki, and Surathkal.
Dates and Booking Information
The Ganesh festival will be celebrated from August 27 to September 6, 2025. To cater to the rising passenger demand, the special trains have already started running from August 11, 2025, and additional services will be increased as the festival approaches.
