In the past decade, gold prices have more than doubled. On October 1, 2023, gold was priced at ₹58,200 per 10 grams, which rose to ₹77,380 in 2024 and further to ₹1,17,800 in 2025. Within just two years, prices have seen an unprecedented jump, reflecting the strong momentum in bullion markets.
According to market analysts, the weakness of the dollar has boosted global demand for precious metals. Additionally, geopolitical uncertainties and economic instability have driven investors towards gold and silver as safer investment options. Strong international buying has also supported the surge.
Not only in Indian markets, but globally too, gold and silver are trading at higher levels. Gold continues to strengthen against the dollar, while silver has shown a steep rise in international ounce trade.
