The Postal Department has taken a significant decision to enable postal services in Charholi Budruk. Previously, the postal branch in this area was assigned a rural pin code, which has now been changed to a new urban pin code. This change is expected to enhance postal services, benefiting postal customers in Charoli and the surrounding areas. Notably, the Postal Department has approved the same.

It is worthy to note that Charholi Budruk was included within the limits of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation in 1997. However, until 2017, the infrastructure in the village had not developed significantly. Following various development projects and improvements in basic amenities post-2017, the Charoli-Moshi-Chikhali residential corridor was developed.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Mahesh Landge, Bhosari Assembly constituency, Pimpri-Chinchwad has actively promoted development in the newly included villages through the municipal corporation and state government, resulting in substantial population growth and the development of various housing projects. However, postal services were still being operated but with a rural pin code system. As a result, residents of Charoli and nearby areas had to travel to Alandi for important postal transactions. To address this issue, MLA Landge advocated for the Chikhali post office to gain the status of a distribution sub-post office and to initiate various services. His efforts have been successful.

Previously, the pin code for the Charoli Budruk post office was 412 105, a rural designation. Now, it has been assigned the urban pin code 411 081, which will soon be operational. This change will enable it to start delivering postal services. Consequently, postal facilities will be made available quickly, with an increase in the number of postmen. This will help provide more services directly to customers’ homes. Previously, customers had to go to Alandi for postal services, but now they can do it from here itself.

Speaking about the development, Landge said, “We are making efforts to provide government facilities while promoting development in the villages included in the municipal limits. We want common citizens to benefit from various schemes of the Indian Postal Department, making their financial transactions easier. We had requested that a sub-post office be opened in Charoli and the surrounding areas, and we have received a positive response from the Indian Postal Department. We hope that these services will be implemented effectively and benefit as many citizens as possible.”
