A grand rally featuring two-wheelers and four-wheelers, along with a Ram Rath Yatra, was organized in Wanawadi with immense enthusiasm to welcome the Hindu New Year. The event commenced with the Aarti of Lord Ganesha, performed by former Minister of State Dilip Kamble, followed by a vibrant procession. The rally was organized by Dinesh alias Prasad Hole, President of the organizing foundation and Vice President of BJP Pune City (OBC Front).

Several prominent dignitaries, including City Union Director Dattatraya Ambulkar, BJP Spokesperson Ali Daruwala, Sachin Mathurawala, Advocate Muralidhar Kachare, Shambhunath Jambhulkar, Amitabh Mehta, Satish Gawli, Sushant Nigde, Rumana Ali, and Sameer Shendkar, graced the occasion.

The procession received an overwhelming response from citizens, who actively participated by donning saffron turbans, carrying saffron flags, and chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram.’ The atmosphere was further electrified with devotional bhajans by the Warkari community, rhythmic beats of dhols, and patriotic songs played by DJs.

A beautifully decorated chariot featuring idols of Bharat Mata, Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and young Shambhuraje captivated the onlookers. Traders and residents of various societies welcomed the procession by showering flower petals, while fireworks at key junctions added to the festive spirit.

The rally began at Ganesh Temple, Gawli-Dhagde Nagar, Bhairobanala, and traversed through the entire Wanawadi area before concluding at the Divyang Institute Ground. The event was introduced by Ravi Jadhav, anchored by Ashok Wagh, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Santosh Chalwadi.
