As reported by the media, upon learning about the marriage, President Murmu arranged for the ceremony to take place at the Mother Teresa Crown Complex in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Initial reports indicate that the wedding will be attended by a small number of family members and friends, who will undergo security checks before being allowed entry.

Poonam Gupta, a female officer from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), has received the approval of President Droupadi Murmu to become the first person to marry at Rashtrapati Bhavan. She currently serves as a Personal Security Officer (PSO) at the presidential residence.
Reports indicate that Poonam Gupta is set to marry Avneesh Kumar, who is also an assistant commandant and is stationed in Jammu and Kashmir, on February 12. The wedding will feature a limited guest list, and the necessary arrangements for entry permissions are currently being processed.
Who is Poonam Gupta?
Poonam Gupta is an Assistant Commandant in the CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) who made history by leading the all-women contingent during the 74th Republic Day Parade in India. She has an impressive educational background, holding a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, a master’s degree in English Literature, and a Bachelor of Education (BEd) from Jiwaji University in Gwalior.
In 2018, she achieved the notable distinction of securing the 81st rank in the UPSC CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces) exam. Prior to her current role, she served in a Naxal-affected region of Bihar, showcasing her dedication and bravery in challenging environments.
