Three IndiGo flights operating from Patna, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad to Pune received hoax bomb threats on Saturday, prompting swift action from authorities.

According to sources, threat messages were posted on Twitter handle @AdamLanza97514, claiming bombs were placed on 18 flights, including three in the Pune sector.

DCP (Zone IV) Himmat Jadhav confirmed that passengers were evacuated from the planes after landing, and anti-sabotage checks were conducted, yielding no incriminating evidence.

An FIR was registered under sections 125, 351(4), and 353(1)(b) of the BNS with the Airport police. This marks the seventh or eighth hoax bomb threat case, with investigations ongoing.

IndiGo spokesperson assured, “We took necessary precautions, working closely with authorities. Customer and crew safety remains our top priority.”

Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shailesh Balkawade stated, “We’re assisting local police in tracing the person/s responsible, utilizing email and VPN tracking.”

The case remains under investigation, with cybercrime police and state anti-terrorism squad involvement.
