Holi, Rangpanchami and Dhulivandan celebrations prohibited in Pune district

In view of surge in Covid19 cases, Pune district Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh on March 24, 2021 issued an order prohibiting celebrations of Holi, Dhulivandan and Rangapanchami in Pune rural areas.

Holi is celebrated on March 28 and Dhulivandan and Rangapanchami on 29 March this year.

The district administration has put restrictions on establishments in Pune rural areas to celebrate Holi, Dhulivandan and Rangapanchami.

Public spots, Hotels, Resorts, Community halls, public and private open spaces, all residential housing societies, and open spaces within these housing societies are prohibited in celebrating Holi, Dhulivandan and Rangpanchami.

Establishments failing to follow the rules shall face strict action under Disaster management act 2005.
