HSRP Number Plate: Important Alert For Vehicle Owners – Install Before August 15 Or Pay ₹10,000 Fine
Pune, August 13, 2025: The deadline for installing High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) on all vehicles in the state is August 15, 2025. If you fail to install it by then, you could face a penalty of up to ₹10,000.
HSRP plates are mandatory for all vehicles. While vehicles manufactured after 2019 already have them, older vehicles must get them installed as per government orders. Although many vehicle owners have complied, a large number are yet to complete the process.
If a vehicle is found without an HSRP plate after August 15, strict action will be taken, unless the owner has already registered before the deadline and has a later installation appointment.
How to get an HSRP plate:
Owners must register on the official website, provide vehicle details such as RC number, choose the nearest installation centre, pay the required fee, and book an appointment. The plate must be installed on the scheduled date at the designated centre.
