‘I Am Alive, Unhurt’: Woman Who Crashed New Thar From Mahindra Showroom Slams Fake Death Reports
29-year-old Maani Pawar clarifies she and her family escaped uninjured after the SUV plunged 15 feet in East Delhi
A dramatic accident at a Mahindra showroom in East Delhi’s Nirman Vihar has gone viral, after a newly purchased Thar SUV plunged 15 feet from the first floor through a glass wall and overturned.
Amid widespread rumours that the driver, 29-year-old Maani Pawar from Ghaziabad, was severely injured or had even died, Pawar has issued a video statement dismissing the claims. “I am very much alive. My family and I are unhurt. Please stop spreading fake news for views,” she said firmly.

Pawar explained that she, her husband Pradeep, and a showroom salesman were inside the car when the accident occurred around 5 pm, shortly after performing a traditional puja for the ₹27 lakh SUV. As part of the ritual, she was required to drive the vehicle’s front wheel over a lemon. However, when the car was at high RPM, she accidentally pressed the accelerator too hard, causing it to smash through the glass wall and fall.
