“I Was Pinned to the Wall”: Kashish Kapoor Breaks Down After Allegedly Being Assaulted by Cook Who Stole ₹50,000
In a deeply emotional revelation, actress and Bigg Boss 18 fame Kashish Kapoor opened up about a horrifying experience involving her domestic help. What started as a regular day quickly turned into a nightmare for Kashish when she discovered that her cook had allegedly stolen money from her home and physically assaulted her when confronted. The actress took to YouTube to share the traumatic incident, shedding light on the ordeal she has been silently dealing with—away from the eyes of even her own family.
Kashish, who had been subtly hinting at something being wrong through cryptic social media posts, finally broke her silence after the shocking incident came to light on Sunday, July 13. She revealed that she had kept ₹7 lakh in cash at her Mumbai residence in Andheri, which she intended to deposit into her mother’s account on July 9, just a day before she was scheduled to fly to Singapore for work. To her horror, when she went to check the envelope, it was empty.
Realizing her cook, Sachin Kumar Chaudhary, had just exited the apartment, she rushed to stop him in the lift and demanded he prove he wasn’t carrying anything suspicious.
“I told him, ‘Apna pocket dikhao’ (Show me your pocket), but he kept refusing. I insisted strongly and finally saw ₹50,000 in his pocket. That’s when it all made sense to me,” she said. “Before I could even react or pick up my phone, the next thing I knew, I was pinned against the wall. He said, ‘Don’t call or tell anybody.’” (Usne kaha, ‘Don’t call or tell anybody.’)
“In that moment, my brain went into fight-or-flight mode,” Kashish continued. “I knew I had to save myself, so I said, ‘Theek hai, mere ghar se nikal jao, aur mujhe dobara apni shakal mat dikhana’” (Fine, leave my house and never show me your face again).
After managing to push him out of the house, Kashish immediately alerted her building’s security guard and asked them to stop the cook. However, despite her swift action, the man managed to flee.
“I ran down the stairs from the 20th floor in a panic. I was nauseous, like I was about to throw up. My mind was racing with ‘What the fck is happening?’ But I told myself, ‘Fck it, you can die later—right now, you have to stop this.’”
Despite her efforts, the cook got away.
Following the incident, Kashish reported the matter to the police. But to her disappointment, she claimed the authorities said they couldn’t assure her that the stolen money would be recovered.
She also admitted that her parents were unaware of what had happened in the house, as she didn’t want to burden them with stress, especially considering she was leaving the country soon for work.
Breaking down in her video, Kashish shared how deeply this incident has affected her mentally and emotionally.
“I feel so betrayed. Mujhe shaq tha, par koi saboot nahi tha. (I had suspicions but no proof.) He betrayed my trust, and how! I caught him red-handed, and even then he had the audacity to say, ‘Maine sirf 50,000 churaye’ (I only stole ₹50,000). I was supposed to count the money on Sunday. I still have all the receipts of the payments I’ve received.”
