Prayagraj: In a remarkable achievement, a final-year B.Tech (IT) student from the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Prayagraj, has secured a record-breaking job offer of ₹1.45 crore per annum from US-based tech firm Rubrik, setting a new milestone in the institute’s placement history.
The student, Vipul Jain, received the offer during the ongoing campus placement season, making it the highest package ever offered to a student at IIIT-Prayagraj.
“This achievement reflects not only Vipul’s hard work but also the institute’s dedication to academic excellence and industry readiness,” said Prof. Mukul Sharad Sutaone, Director of IIIT-Prayagraj.
Placement Season Highlights:
- Nearly 100% placement was recorded for B.Tech students.
- 13 students received packages ranging from ₹70 lakh to ₹99 lakh.
- Over 70 students secured packages between ₹50 lakh to ₹69 lakh.
- Several top multinational companies participated in the recruitment drive, including Rubrik, Google, Amazon, and Microsoft.
Vipul’s success has drawn attention from industry leaders and recruiters, showcasing the growing global demand for skilled tech graduates from Indian institutes.
This development places IIIT-Prayagraj prominently on the national placement map, reinforcing its status as a leading institute for information technology education.
