IIM Udaipur Launches Two Executive MBA Programmes for Working Professionals
Working professionals can now pursue executive management courses in Product Management and Senior Management from IIM Udaipur.
For many aspiring managers in India, the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) remain the most coveted destination for an MBA. However, securing admission to these prestigious institutes is no easy task, as most programmes require candidates to clear the highly competitive Common Admission Test (CAT). Now, IIM Udaipur has opened new doors for working professionals by launching two executive programmes that do not require CAT scores for admission. This is a two-year online program that also includes two campus immersions. Admission is through the GMAT/GRE/CAT/ or IIMU Test.
The institute has announced the Executive Programme in Product Management (EPPM) and the Senior Management Programme (SMP), both designed specifically for mid-career and senior professionals who wish to continue working while upgrading their managerial skills. Conducted in a hybrid format, these programmes offer the flexibility to balance work commitments with academic learning.
The curriculum for the Executive Programme in Product Management focuses on core competencies such as identifying customer needs, applying design thinking principles, creating and executing strategic plans, and managing product development and extension. The Senior Management Programme, on the other hand, is tailored for professionals preparing to take on leadership roles, emphasising high-level strategic decision-making, organisational growth, and business transformation.
By removing the CAT requirement, IIM Udaipur aims to make its high-quality management education more accessible to industry professionals who already have significant work experience but may not wish to pursue the traditional MBA admission route. Both courses are structured to deliver practical, industry-relevant knowledge that can be applied immediately in the workplace, while also building a strong peer network of leaders from diverse sectors.
These initiatives signal a broader shift in India’s management education landscape, where executive and specialised programmes are becoming a viable alternative for ambitious professionals seeking IIM credentials without leaving their careers on hold.
