Pune Traffic Police Bans Entry Of Heavy Vehicles In City During Ganesh Utsav

Pune: The Pimpri Chinchwad Traffic Police On September 20 issued guidelines on the diversion of routes for vehicular movement.
The diversion was announced keeping in mind the congestion that may cause due to people coming for immersion procession, since the idol immersion for 1.5, 5 days and 7 days will begin soon.
The traffic flow at Tata T Junction Chowk is being redirected for vehicles heading towards Geometric Circle and Shivaji Chowk.
As a result, these routes will be closed off from Tata T Junction Chowk. An alternative route has been designated for drivers to reach their desired destination, which involves passing through Lakshmi Chowk.
Similarly, the access to Meza 9 and Shivaji Chowk from Geometric Circle Chowk is also being closed. Drivers who wish to travel from Geometric Circle Chowk to Meza 9 and Shivaji Chowk are advised to take an alternate route. They should proceed to Tata T Junction Chowk and continue their journey via Lakshmi Chowk.
Furthermore, the movement of vehicles from Meza 9 Chowk to Shivaji Chowk is prohibited. Drivers who need to travel from Meza 9 Chowk to Shivaji Chowk should follow an alternative route, which involves passing through Lakshmi Chowk to reach their destination.
Similarly, traffic going from Shivaji Chowk to Hinjewadi Gavthan is also being banned. Drivers who need to travel on this route should take an alternate route. They should proceed from Shivaji Chowk to Wipro Circle Phase 01 Chowk, then to Geometric Tata, and finally reach their desired destination via T Junction Chowk.
There will be no movement of vehicles from Kasturi Chowk to Shivaji Chowk Hinjewadi. Drivers who need to travel from Kasturi Chowk to Shivaji Chowk Hinjewadi should follow an alternative route. They should proceed via Vinode Vasti Corner and Lakshmi Chowk to reach their destination.
Additionally, vehicular movement towards Jambhulkar Gym Chowk, Shivaji Chowk, and Tadiwala Road is prohibited. Drivers who need to travel on this route should take an alternative route. They should proceed from Shivaji Chowk and Tadiwala Road to Indian Oil Chowk, then to Kasturi Chowk, and finally reach their desired destination via Vinode Vasti Corner Chowk.
Similarly, vehicles are prohibited from accessing Jambhulkar Chowk and Shivaji Chowk from Indian Oil Chowk. Drivers who need to travel towards Kasturi Chowk from Jambhulkar Chowk and Shivaji Chowk should take an alternative route. They should proceed via Vinode Vasti Corner Chowk to reach their desired destination.
As previously stated, on the dates of September 25, 2023, September 27, 2023, and September 28, 2023, from 16:00 to 24:00 hours, there will be temporary changes to traffic in the Hinjewadi Traffic Division as deemed necessary. It is advised that citizens should utilize alternative routes during this time.
