Muralidhar Mohol, the candidate of the BJP Mahayuti in Pune Lok Sabha constituency, has assured that he will effectively implement the National Clean Air Program so that Pune residents get pollution-free and clean air.

Mohol met the citizens who came for a morning walk on Vetal Hill. Former corporator Chhaya Marne, Ashwini Jadhav, Dr. Sandeep Butala, Kailas Parikh, Balasaheb Surana, Deepak Pawar, Milind Talathi, Ganesh Shinde, Datta Gaikwad, Balasaheb Khankal were present.

Mohol said, “The central government has decided to implement this program in more than a hundred cities of the country to bring air pollution under control in the cities. In this, Pune, Khadki, Pimpri-Chinchwad and Dehu Road Cantonment Board have been sanctioned funds of Rs. 504 crore for the first phase. By 2026, air pollution will be reduced by 25 percent . Under this, Pune has received a fund of Rs 135 crore.

Mohol further said, “We want to reduce the amount of fine dust and fine dust. For this, we need to build water fountains, increase electric and gas crematories, increase the number of electric vehicles, reduce traffic congestion, improve road cleaning, promote public transport, for metro. Measures will be taken to purchase 300 midi buses as a feeder. These measures will be implemented effectively and will be pursued to get more funds from the center.
