Indian Army Undertakes Flood Relief Operations In Parbhani, Rescues 34 Civilians Including 1 Pregnant Woman
Pune, October 1, 2025: A Flood Relief Column from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, along with an Engineer Task Force was deployed in Parbhani District on 30 September 2025 following heavy discharge of 3.06 lakh cusecs from Jayakwade Dam yesterday and forecast of moderate to heavy rainfall. The teams rescued 34 civilians, including a pregnant woman from Pathri Tehsil and provided immediate medical assistance.
Operations are being undertaken in close coordination with the Civil Administration to ensure maximum relief to affected citizens. An Administrative Base has been established at Pathri in close coordination with the District Magistrate and local authorities.

Another team continues to remain deployed at Georai in Beed District to provide assistance as required. The Indian Army remains steadfast and committed to safeguarding lives and extending timely aid during natural calamities.
