Pune, July 18, 2025: Indian Railways has issued an official clarification denying reports about the launch of four new Vande Bharat Express trains connecting Pune to Shegaon, Vadodara, Secunderabad, and Belagavi. Terming the news as “factually incorrect and misleading,” the authorities stated that no such train services have been approved or announced.

In a formal statement, the Railway Board and Pune Division, Central Railway, said, “As of now, no official notification or press release has been issued regarding the sanctioning or introduction of any Vande Bharat services from Pune. Any reports stating otherwise are speculative and not based on official communication from the competent Railway authorities.”

The Railways expressed concern over the dissemination of unverified information, emphasizing that it misleads passengers, creates false expectations, and undermines the credibility of Indian Railways. “Media outlets are advised to validate all information through the Public Relations Department or authorized sources before publication to ensure accuracy,” the statement added.
