India's First Somatic Vedic Yoga Centre Set to Launch in Pune - Discover the Details.
Pune: In an exciting development for wellness enthusiasts and yoga practitioners, Pune is set to host India’s first Somatic Vedic Yoga Centre.
ParamYoga, the only yoga institute in Maharashtra recognized by the Ministry of AYUSH, is partnering with Antarang Holistic Wellness Centre to introduce India’s first Somatic Vedic Yoga Educator Programme in Pune.
This course will commence in January 2025 and will integrate ancient techniques from Somatic Movement Therapy, Hatha Yoga, and Vedic Mantras to offer a holistic method for physical and emotional healing.
The initiative is led by Ramesh Lakshmanan, the sole licensed Hanna Somatics practitioner in India and the Director of Antarang Holistic Wellness Centre. The program is designed to provide a transformative educational experience for yoga teachers and wellness practitioners.
By combining Somatic Movement Therapy with traditional Hatha Yoga and Vedic Mantras, this course provides a robust approach to healing. It emphasizes the release of trauma, stress, and physical discomfort while fostering mental clarity and inner tranquility.
Adopting a comprehensive view of wellness, the program seeks to tackle the underlying causes of physical and emotional stress instead of just alleviating symptoms. Its goal is to enhance resilience, balance, and overall well-being, offering a life-changing experience for both practitioners and their students.
The programme is perfect for both current and aspiring yoga instructors, wellness professionals, and anyone interested in alternative health methods. The curriculum includes key subjects like Neurophysiology, Muscular Anatomy, Vedic Mantras, and Yoga Philosophy, providing participants with the essential knowledge to help others in their healing journeys.
This course features a hybrid learning approach, combining online classes with immersive in-person sessions at Param Yogashala in Pune. These hands-on residencies offer students practical experience, personalized mentorship, and a deeper understanding of Somatic Vedic Yoga.
