‘India’s Got Latent’ Draws Criticism After Ranveer Allahbadia, Apoorva Mukhija’s Vulgar Remarks’
A recent episode of ‘India’s Got Latent’ has sparked outrage for its controversial content. Hosted by comedian Samay Raina, the episode featured influencers like Ranveer Allahbadia (BeerBiceps), Ashish Chanchlani, Apoorva Mukhija (The Rebel Kid), and stand-up comedian Jaspreet Singh.
The backlash began after Allahbadia made an adult joke, leading to an FIR filed against him. Meanwhile, Apoorva Mukhija also faced criticism for her remark about a woman’s body part. The episode, available only to paid subscribers, has been accused of crossing a line between humor and vulgarity.
During the show, a contestant asked, “V****a mein sensation khatam ho gaya hai?” (Is there no sensation in your v****a?). Apoorva responded, “Kabhi v****a dekhi hai maa se nikalne ke baad?” (Have you ever seen a v****a after exiting your mother’s?). The comment, which drew laughter from the panel, has since gone viral, sparking criticism online.
Apoorva, known for her unfiltered content, has 2.6 million Instagram followers and 500,000 YouTube subscribers. She has collaborated with brands like Netflix, Amazon, and Meta. However, she often faces backlash for using expletives. Recently, she was also caught in controversy at Delhi Technological University (DTU), where she lashed out at hecklers.
The biggest controversy from the show involved Allahbadia, who asked a contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day or join in once to stop it forever?” The remark led to widespread outrage.
Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis responded, saying he hadn’t seen the video but was informed about its “very vulgar” nature. He warned that freedom of speech has limits, and action will be taken if they are crossed.
