Indian Railways, the fourth-largest railway network in the world, serves over 2 crore passengers daily across 7,308 stations  but one station alone generated a staggering ₹3,337 crore in revenue in just one year, making it the richest railway station in the country.

The top honor goes to New Delhi Railway Station, which has become the crown jewel in Indian Railways’ financial ecosystem. As per data for the financial year 2023–24, New Delhi Station led the earnings chart with an annual revenue of ₹3,337 crore, fueled by massive daily footfall, high ticket sales, commercial shops, advertisements, and platform ticket collections.

Railway stations contribute significantly to Indian Railways’ revenue through multiple streams:
