IndiGo Launches Premium Delhi-Bangkok Route with Boeing 787-9 and Exclusive Amenities

IndiGo Airlines is set to launch a new international flight, taking its “India by IndiGo” promise to new heights. The airline has leased a wide-body Boeing B-787-9 aircraft from Norse Atlantic, specifically for this route. To enhance the passenger experience, IndiGo has partnered with renowned brands to offer premium amenities. 

Passengers on this Delhi-Bangkok route will enjoy a unique culinary experience with specially curated meals prepared by Oberoi Catering Services. IndiGo’s signature “IndigoStretch” facility will also be available, providing additional legroom and comfort. To complement the dining experience, Sula Vineyards, an Indian indigenous brand, has designed special drinks for passengers to savor.

What’s special about this plane?

IndiGo’s new leased Boeing 787-9 aircraft boasts a unique configuration designed for passenger comfort. The wide-body plane features a double-aisle layout, with 56 premium “Indigo Stretch” seats offering generous legroom at 43 inches in a comfortable 2x3x2 configuration. For economy class passengers, there are 282 seats arranged in a 3x3x3 layout, providing a spacious 31-inch seat pitch for a comfortable travel experience.

What is Indigo Stretch?

IndiGo introduced its premium “Indigo Stretch” service on domestic routes in India back in November 2024. This service provides passengers with a range of exclusive benefits, including priority check-in, flexible boarding options, advanced seat selection, and no service fees. Indigo Stretch passengers also enjoy a generous baggage allowance, with the option to carry one bag up to 12 kilograms in the cabin, plus additional checked baggage allowance starting from 30 kilograms.

When will this flight start?

IndiGo’s new Delhi-Bangkok route will launch on March 1st. Flight 6E 1053 departs Delhi at 10:00 am, arriving in Bangkok at 3:45 pm. The return flight, 6E 1054, takes off from Bangkok at 5:45 pm and lands in Delhi at 8:55 pm. Bookings are now open for this new route.
