International Women’s Day celebration 2021 held at GEMS
SVSPM’s Gayatri Group of Schools, Pune and Gayatri Sakhi Manch, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation had organised a grand extravaganza event, International Women’s Day Awards 2021, Woman Par Excellence Award, for the women staff and some of the powerful women of Pune.
The event started with Kajal Chhatija, Executive Director giving a brief introduction about the humble beginning of the Gayatri School with 60 students in 2002 to becoming the Gayatri Group of Schools in four different locations of Pune. She also shared the kind deeds of Gayatri Sakhi Manch spearheaded by the Managing Director, Kavita Bhongale Kadu Patil and the this Sakhi Manch has empowered women during the pandemic time by organising, grain distribution drive, life-based skill orientated workshops and utilizing all weekends to give back to society and being there for them.
The event dazzled with the team of Young Talent Association, performing on foot tapping ganesha song and entertained the audience with some known bollywood tunes.
Vinayakrao Bhongale, Founder and President, addressed and welcomed the invitees and awardees with his motivational speech. Further Kavita Bhongale Patil expressed her gratitude and thanked all for gracing the occasion by their presence.
Pune’s most loved band “Malang” mesmerized the crowd by their soulful and blissful performances. The band comprised of Zeeshan, the lead singer, Neil the bassist , Ganesh, the drumer and Siddharth, the guitarist.
Furtados School of Music grabbed the attention of the crowd by playing the tunes on guitar and the audience guessed the song and won exciting prizes as well.
The award ceremony witnessed incredible women coming from different profession.
