Jaguar Unveils Bold New Logo and Branding, Sparks Mixed Reactions Online
Luxury carmaker Jaguar has announced its “new era” with a revamped logo and branding as it transitions to an all-electric future. The Tata Motors-owned British company unveiled the design on Tuesday, featuring a bespoke logo styled as JaGUar.

The updated logo highlights Jaguar’s posh English pronunciation—“Jag-you-are”—instead of the Americanized “Jag-wahr.” It blends upper and lower-case letters for what the company calls “visual harmony.” Jaguar also introduced a reimagined “leaper” cat logo and slogans such as “Delete ordinary,” “Live vivid,” and “Copy nothing.”
The new branding marks a bold step for the company ahead of its official relaunch in Miami on December 2. “This is the physical manifestation of our brand reinvention, where Jaguar will champion true originality and artistic expression in all forms,” said company spokesperson Mr. Glover.
However, the rebranding has sparked a wave of mixed reactions online. On X (formerly Twitter), some users questioned the absence of cars in the promotional video. One user quipped, “Is this for fashion?” Jaguar responded, “Think of this as a declaration of intent.”
Even Elon Musk weighed in, asking, “Do you sell cars?” Jaguar replied with a witty, “Yes. We’d love to show you. Join us for a cuppa in Miami on 2nd December?”
The redesign aims to position Jaguar as a leader in luxury and innovation, but the response suggests that convincing the public might take time.
Jaguar hopes its December event will showcase its commitment to originality and redefine its identity in the electric era.
