Kapil Sharma Receives Death Threats Targeting Him and His Family; Mumbai Police on High Alert
Mumbai: In a shocking development, comedian Kapil Sharma has reportedly received death threats, following a string of similar incidents involving actor Rajpal Yadav, singer Sugandha Mishra, and choreographer Remo D’Souza. The threatening letter, signed by an individual identifying himself as “Bishnu,” warned Kapil to take the matter seriously, stating that both he and his loved ones were being targeted.
Based on complaints from Kapil Sharma and Rajpal Yadav, the Mumbai Police have registered an FIR. Additionally, a non-cognizable offense was recorded after Sugandha Mishra reported receiving a similar threat. Remo D’Souza also filed a complaint after receiving a threatening email.
The email reportedly read, “We are monitoring your recent activities, and we believe it is important to bring a sensitive matter to your attention. This is not a publicity stunt or an attempt to harass you. We urge you to treat this message with utmost seriousness and confidentiality.” The message was signed off as ‘Bishnu.’
This incident comes amidst heightened security concerns in Bollywood. The threats have been linked to a series of recent events, including the fatal stabbing of former politician Baba Siddique and an attack on actor Saif Ali Khan. Saif was assaulted by an intruder who broke into his residence and stabbed him six times. He was treated at Lilavati Hospital and has since been discharged.
In light of these developments, the Mumbai Police have increased vigilance across the city. Actor Salman Khan remains under threat from the Bishnoi gang, who have repeatedly targeted him over the 1998 blackbuck poaching case during the filming of Hum Saath Saath Hain in Rajasthan.
The police are actively investigating these threats to ensure the safety of Bollywood celebrities and maintain law and order in the city.
