Kaustubh Dhavse Appointed Chief Advisor To Maharashtra CM To Drive Investments and Strategy
Mumbai/Pune – Kaustubh Dhavse, former Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has been elevated to the role of Chief Advisor (Investments & Strategy) with immediate effect. The appointment was confirmed through a notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD).
In his new position, Dhavse will play a pivotal role in shaping Maharashtra’s economic and infrastructure roadmap, with a mandate spanning:
- Promotion of investments and formulation of progressive policies
- Facilitating Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)
- Coordinating the state’s Infrastructure Projects War Room
- Driving large-scale IT and digital governance initiatives
This marks a transition from his previous tenure as OSD to a more specialized advisory role focused on high-impact projects aligned with Maharashtra’s growth agenda.
Strategic Vision for Maharashtra’s Growth
Dhavse’s appointment underscores the government’s emphasis on attracting global investments, accelerating infrastructure development, and leveraging technology to transform governance. A trusted member of CM Fadnavis’ core policy team during his earlier term, Dhavse is expected to fast-track reforms and position Maharashtra as a future-ready economic powerhouse.
Proven Leadership in Strategy and Global Partnerships
With over two decades of experience across strategy, consulting, and technology, Dhavse has worked with global firms like Solectron Inc., HP Inc., and Frost & Sullivan. He holds an electronics engineering degree from Mumbai University, an MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (valedictorian), and a master’s in public policy from Harvard Kennedy School.
