Patna, June 2 — Popular educator and YouTuber Khan Sir hosted a grand wedding reception in Patna on Sunday, with videos from the event quickly going viral on social media. This marked the first public appearance of Khan Sir and his bride, AS Khan, since their private wedding last month.
The reception, held on June 2, saw Khan Sir dressed in a burgundy suit, standing beside his wife, who wore a traditional red lehenga with her face covered by a veil. The couple was seen warmly greeting guests and posing for photographs.
Among the notable attendees was Physics Wallah founder and CEO Alakh Pandey. The two educators shared a warm hug and light-hearted moments, which were captured in several clips shared by attendees on Instagram and other platforms.
Khan Sir, widely known by his moniker, has never officially confirmed his real name, though it is reportedly Faisal Khan. His wedding invitation also featured only the name “Khan Sir,” and his wife’s full name has not been publicly disclosed.
Last month, the educator made headlines after announcing his marriage during a class. In a video that quickly went viral, he revealed that he had quietly tied the knot amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan following Operation Sindoor.
“I got married while India-Pakistan tensions were still rising. I didn’t tell anyone. You [my students] are the first to know, because I am who I am today because of you,” he said in the classroom video. He also mentioned that a special feast for his students will be held on June 6.
The wedding was arranged by his family, Khan Sir revealed, adding with a smile, “My younger brothers and my mother fixed the marriage. I couldn’t say no to my mother.”
In his signature humorous style, when students asked for a photo of his wife, Khan Sir jokingly drew a cartoon with curly hair on the classroom board and quipped, “Ditto, like this. She looks exactly like this, same to same. Do you think I don’t draw well?”
