A disturbing video from Amity University, Lucknow, has gone viral, showing a group of students repeatedly slapping and assaulting a law student inside a vehicle in the university’s parking lot. The victim, identified as Shikhar, a BA LLB student, was allegedly attacked by his classmates — Ayush Yadav, Jahnvi Mishra, Milay Banerjee, Vivek Singh, and Aryaman Shukla.

According to a news agency, Shikhar’s father has lodged a complaint, alleging that his son was ambushed when he reached the parking lot. The accused boarded the vehicle, verbally abused him, and subjected him to physical assault. The viral clip shows a female student standing on the front seat, slapping Shikhar repeatedly while ordering him to keep his hands down, saying, “Haath niche.” A male student is also seen punching him when he tries to shield himself.
Shikhar’s father said his son, who recently underwent ligament surgery and was walking with a stick, was slapped at least 20 to 30 times. He further alleged that the accused not only abused his family but also broke his son’s phone and circulated the assault video across campus. “They even threatened to kill us. When I went to the college, they warned me never to come again and said they would assault me too,” he told reporters.
The female student was heard questioning Shikhar over his comments about “character,” while others continued the assault, demanding answers about his remarks on fellow students.
Police are investigating the matter, and the incident has sparked outrage on social media, with calls for strict action against the accused students and questions over campus safety.
