Over the past few weeks, a leopard has been wreaking havoc in the village, preying on livestock and leaving a trail of fear in its wake. Goats, cows, and bulls belonging to villagers such as Lokesh Thaware, Kashinath Tarone, Dilip Sonkar, Shankar Watkar, and Mangesh Gongal have fallen victim to the predator, heightening the villagers’ anxiety.
The situation took a surprising turn two days ago when a resident spotted the leopard leaving an abandoned house on the outskirts of the village. Upon closer inspection by the forest department and local police, three leopard cubs were found nestled inside the deserted building, confirming that the leopard had established a temporary den within the village itself.
