Air pollution and urban living pose unique challenges, particularly for residents of high-rise buildings. Renowned health coach Dr. Mickey Mehta shares his perspective on how living above the 16th floor can impact well-being.

“At higher altitudes in a high-rise, oxygen levels are slightly lower than at ground level,” Dr. Mehta explained. “The air quality in urban cities, especially at higher levels, is often full of pollutants that stagnate and linger. This can have debilitating effects, as being away from the earth’s magnetic field impacts the body. The organs age faster due to instability and disorientation, which can affect blood pressure, heart health, and even breathing.”

While oxygen levels may decline slightly, this reduction is typically not clinically significant for healthy adults. However, Dr. Mehta cautioned about the potential effects of these changes over time. “This silent threat can creep into various aspects of health, often unnoticed but significant,” he noted.

Although some experts argue that air pollution levels tend to decrease with height in urban areas, Dr. Mehta emphasized the cumulative effects of disconnection from natural elements like the earth’s magnetic field. “Life thrives on balance, and being away from these natural forces can impact the rhythm of the body,” he said.

For those living in high-rises, Dr. Mehta recommended prioritizing indoor air quality and incorporating grounding practices, such as spending time at ground level or using technology designed to mimic natural frequencies.

While high-rise living offers advantages like reduced ground-level pollution and noise, Dr. Mehta’s insights underline the importance of addressing potential health impacts proactively for a holistic and balanced lifestyle.
