Luxury on a Budget: Vlogger's ₹5,500 Rajdhani Express Journey With Shower, Cabin & Meals | Video
Private cabin, shower and three meals offered for ₹5,500 on Mumbai-Delhi route
A viral video of a travel vlogger’s journey on the Rajdhani Tejas Express has drawn wide attention online, showcasing the luxury offered in its first-class coaches. The vlogger, who travelled from Mumbai to Delhi, shared that for a ticket costing ₹5,500, he was provided with a private cabin, access to shower rooms, and three meals along with a variety of snacks.

In the video, posted on Instagram under the handle journeyswithak, the creator described the experience as “luxury on wheels.” He praised the personalised service, noting that the privacy of a coupe and the comfort of a shower made the long journey refreshing. “The attention and care by the crew made the whole journey satisfying,” he said.
While the post attracted thousands of likes and comments, reactions were divided. Some users felt the price was excessive, pointing out that flight tickets on the same route are often available for similar fares. One commenter wrote, “Bhai, 5000 me flight me chala jaata.”
Responding to such criticism, the vlogger argued that train journeys offer a different experience. “Guys, everyone saying flight le lo, 2 hours mein reach ho jaoge! But trust me, agar thoda time hai toh ek baar train journey zaroor try karo… mazaa aa jaayega,” he explained.
Other users supported his view. “Yes, I have travelled many times in Rajdhani first class — it’s really like your own house on wheels. Flight is nowhere as compared to the premium Rajdhani train,” one wrote.

However, another remarked, “Not all passengers are rich in India to travel by Tejas Rajdhani. 80 percent of people are dependent on 10 kg ration.”
The video has sparked a wider conversation about the value of premium train travel in India, balancing comfort against affordability in a country where trains remain the primary mode of long-distance transport for millions.
