Robotic fire tenders will debut at Mahakumbh 2025, significantly improving fire safety at the largest spiritual gathering in the world, as stated by officials. In addition to these advanced machines, 200 specially trained fire commandos will be on-site to handle emergencies and ensure the safety of attendees.

Mahakumbh 2025, recognized as the largest spiritual congregation globally, is poised to experience significant advancements in fire safety technology. Officials have revealed that robotic fire tenders will be utilized for the first time to safeguard the well-being of the millions of pilgrims and visitors attending the event.

Robotic fire tenders are lightweight devices, typically weighing between 20 and 25 kilograms, engineered to access locations that are difficult for human firefighters to reach. These machines are capable of ascending stairs and effectively extinguishing fires, which makes them particularly suitable for densely populated and hazardous environments.

Additionally, the Mahakumbh will showcase an articulating water tower that can project water from a height of 35 meters. This tower is outfitted with advanced camera technology to oversee fire-sensitive areas and facilitate a swift response.

A Special Trained Rescue Group (STRG) has been formed to bolster manpower, inspired by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), as stated by ADG Padmaja Chauhan.

This unit consists of 200 individuals who have received training from the NDRF and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in Hyderabad. They will be assigned to high-risk locations during the Mahakumbh 2025 to guarantee the safety of the public.

The Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj is scheduled from January 14 to February 26.

This revered occasion takes place once every 12 years and is deeply embedded in the ancient lore of the Samudra Manthan, a divine conflict between gods and demons for the elixir of eternal life. The Kumbh Mela provides followers with a chance to wash away their sins by immersing themselves in the sacred waters at the Triveni Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and the legendary Saraswati rivers converge. The celestial configurations during this period are thought to enhance the spiritual vibrations of the site, creating a propitious time for prayer, meditation, and personal purification.
