Maharashtra: 3.4-Magnitude Earthquake Tremors Felt Near Koyna Dam
Pune, 30 September: Koynanagar experienced mild tremors on Monday midnight at 12:09 AM. The earthquake measured 3.4 on the Richter scale. Fortunately, there was no loss of life or property reported.
According to officials, the epicenter was located near Helwak village, about 3 km southwest and around 4 km from the Koyna earthquake observatory. The depth of the quake was recorded at 5 km.
The tremor, classified as a mild intensity earthquake (Category 3), was felt in the Patan taluka region, including Koynanagar. Residents reported sensing the vibrations, though the situation remained under control with no damage.
