Maharashtra Board Announces SSC And HSC Exam Dates For 2026; Class 10 And 12 Exams To Begin In February
Pune, October 14, 2025 — The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has officially released the timetable for the 2026 SSC (Class 10) and HSC (Class 12) board examinations. As per the schedule, both exams will commence in February 2026.
For HSC students, the written examinations are set to take place from February 10 to March 18, 2026. Practical, oral, and internal assessment exams — including project and information technology tests — will be conducted between January 23 and February 9, 2026.
The SSC (Class 10) written exams will begin on February 20 and conclude on March 18, 2026, while the practical and viva exams are scheduled from February 2 to February 18, 2026. The Board confirmed that these dates apply to all nine divisional boards across Maharashtra, including Pune, Mumbai, and Nagpur.

Officials stated that the timetable was released well in advance to help schools, colleges, and students plan their study schedules efficiently. The decision aims to reduce academic stress and ensure that students have adequate preparation time before their final exams.
