The Economic Survey tabled on Friday projected Maharashtra’s economy to grow at 7.3% in FY25, surpassing the national growth estimate of 6.5%. However, the survey highlighted a slowdown in the industry and service sectors, as well as a reduction in financial transfers from the central government.

Additionally, the survey reported that as of December 2024, Rs 17,505.90 crore has been distributed under the Ladki Bahin Scheme, benefiting over 23.8 million women. The scheme was a key promise made by the Mahayuti alliance during the Maharashtra Assembly elections.

With a strong focus on infrastructure expansion, job creation, and economic growth, the Maharashtra Budget 2025 sets the stage for the state’s long-term development and investment potential.
