Maharashtra Class 11 Admission Deadline Extended to June 5, Over 10.85 Lakh Students Enrolled So Far

Pune: Deadline Extended For Applications For Diploma In Arts To July 5Â
Mumbai, June 3: The Maharashtra School Education Department has extended the last date for Class 11 First Year Junior College (FYJC) online admissions to June 5, 2 PM, from the earlier deadline of June 3. The extension was announced via an official press note issued by Sriram Pamjhade, Director of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
The decision to extend the deadline has been taken to provide adequate time for students, schools, and junior colleges to modify their preferences in the centralised online admission process.
This year, the state government initially ruled that the 10% in-house quota would not apply to students from schools of the same management located on different campuses. However, following opposition from educational institutions, the decision was partially rolled back. Now, schools and junior colleges located within the same revenue district—excluding Mumbai City, Mumbai Suburban, and Thane, which are treated as a single unit—can avail the in-house quota facility.
As of June 2, the total number of students who have registered for Class 11 admissions across the state stands at 10,85,851. The division-wise breakdown is as follows:
- Mumbai: 2,65,900
- Pune: 1,87,925
- Kolhapur: 1,07,012
- Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar: 1,00,040
- Nashik: 1,12,108
- Nagpur: 95,210
- Amravati: 98,359
- Latur: 58,586
Students and parents are advised to visit the official FYJC admission portal for further updates and instructions regarding the online preference-filling process.
