Maharashtra: MTDC Announces Special Discounts And Health Camp For Women’s Day
Mumbai: In celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8, the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has announced special discounts and initiatives to honor women travelers. Under this initiative, women guests and their families staying at MTDC resorts between March 1 and March 8, 2025, will receive a 50% discount on room reservations.
This special offer applies only to room reservations (EP Plan – Only Room) and does not cover meals. Once booked, these reservations cannot be canceled, and the woman making the booking must present a valid ID at check-in. The discount is available exclusively on the MTDC website (www.mtdc.co) using promo codes, ensuring a transparent and seamless booking process.
Additionally, MTDC will organize health camps for women at its Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Ajanta-T Point resorts. These camps will be conducted by Dr. Renuka Alsi-Loya, a senior gynecologist with over 14 years of experience. The health camp will focus on women’s reproductive health, urogynecology, and postnatal care, addressing often-overlooked health issues.

The health camps will be held on:
March 5, 2025 – 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
March 6, 2025 – 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
To promote wellness, MTDC will also introduce indoor fitness zones at select resorts. These zones will feature yoga, Zumba, aerobics, dance sessions, large-screen TVs, and speakers. Plans are also in place for an open gym with high-quality rubber flooring and children’s play areas.
With women playing a growing role in tourism, these initiatives aim to empower and encourage female travelers while enhancing their travel experience. MTDC Regional Manager Deepak Harane stated that the initiative has received an enthusiastic response, with an increasing number of women tourists expressing appreciation for this recognition.
