Maharashtra SSC Exams Begin Tomorrow; Over 16 Lakh Students To Appear

Maharashtra Board Opens Online Applications For 2026 HSC Exams from Today
Pune: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will commence the Class 10 (SSC) board exams across the state from February 21, 2025. A total of 16,11,610 students have registered for the exams, including 8,64,120 boys, 7,47,471 girls, and 19 transgender students, as announced by Board Chairman Sharad Gosavi in a press conference. The exams will be conducted across 5,130 main centers and students from 23,492 secondary schools have registered.
Strict Measures To Prevent Malpractices
To ensure a fair examination process, authorities have taken strict measures to prevent any misconduct. The entire staff at 701 examination centers across the state has been replaced, including 139 centers in Pune, 93 in Nashik, 86 in Nagpur, 18 in Mumbai, 54 in Kolhapur, and 59 in Latur. Additionally, district administrations will use drone cameras for surveillance at various exam centers to monitor any irregular activities.
