Maharashtra: The state is experiencing a shift in weather patterns, with unseasonal rainfall and thunderstorms predicted in several regions. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy winds, and hailstorms in various districts, particularly in Vidarbha over the next 24 hours.

Over the past few days, cloudy skies have dominated Maharashtra, creating favorable conditions for rainfall. Areas like Latur, Sangli, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar have already been affected by unseasonal showers. Contrary to earlier forecasts predicting a temperature rise post-Holi, the weather has taken an unexpected turn.

Strong Winds and Hailstorm Warning

Rainfall was recorded in multiple regions yesterday, and similar conditions are expected today. A low-pressure system has formed over Konkan, increasing the likelihood of rain and gusty winds across the state. Areas like Sangli, Satara, and Khatav have already witnessed rainfall. Additionally, an orange alert has been issued for hailstorms in Akola and Amravati.
