Maharashtra's First Eco Glamping Festival Debuts In Nashik
Get ready to experience luxury in the great outdoors as Maharashtra’s first-ever eco glamping festival kicks off on Saturday, January 18, in Nashik. The two-month-long festival, organized by the state tourism board, promises to introduce visitors to the thrill of glamping – a style of camping that combines luxury with nature.
Located on the picturesque backwaters of Gangapur dam in Nashik, the festival features 60 luxury tents, each offering a unique and comfortable experience. Guests can enjoy a range of adventure activities, including parasailing, trekking, paintball, and archery, as well as cultural experiences like starlit gatherings, waterside yoga sessions, and gourmet dining.
“We are excited to introduce luxury glamping to Maharashtra,” said Madhumita Sardesai, deputy director, state tourism department (Nashik). “Many people have already experienced outdoor private camping in Bhandardara, and we expect this festival to attract visitors from all over Maharashtra and beyond.”
The festival is a collaborative effort between the state tourism department and an on-ground event agency, with support from experienced partners. Visitors can also indulge in wine tasting at the wine experience centre, taking advantage of Nashik’s reputation as the ‘Wine Capital of India’.
The luxury tents have been designed on the lines of those seen at Rann Utsav, offering a unique and comfortable experience for guests. With over 75% occupancy already reported at some camping sites in December, organizers are optimistic about the festival’s success.
So mark your calendars and get ready to experience the ultimate in luxury glamping in Nashik!
